Wat Samphran or the Dragon Temple is located just outside of Bangkok, and is a must see on your visit to Thailand. It’s a stunning and unique temple with a dragon wrapped around its pink tower. While you’re there make sure to walk around the garden and visit the golden Buddha statue. Take a Grab or taxi from Bangkok, for the easiest way to reach this magnificent temple. ⁣

Teotihuacán is an ancient Mesoamerican city located about 1 hour northeast of Mexico City. It was built between the 1st and 7th centuries A.D, and was one of the largest cities in the world during its time. Not much is known about who built the city, including its original name. The Aztecs discovered the city hundreds of years after it was abandoned and named it Teōtīhuacān, roughly translated as the birthplace of the gods. The most prominent structures you can see are the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon. ⁣

The ideal time to visit CDMX is March - May. The weather is usually beautiful this time of year with temperatures in the 70s. Although temperatures are fairly pleasant year-round, winters can be a bit chilly and summers tend to be rainy, making this the ideal time to visit. September and October are also popular times to visit, especially around festivals such as the Day of the Dead.⁣⁣

Mexico City is a fairly affordable destination to visit from the United States, however visiting the city’s most popular restaurants and bars can set you back more than you may expect. Although the prices for fine dining experiences can still be a bit high, there are plenty of local affordable food options as well. In terms of accommodations, hotels generally range between $80-$200 per night. ⁣⁣

We walked around a lot, and I felt fairly safe in the neighborhoods that we visited including Centro, Juárez, Condesa, Roma, Coyoacán, and Polanco. I would recommend taking regular precautions as with any big city, especially if using public transportation or in crowded areas. ⁣⁣
